Khun Sakchai Teangho the Sherrif of Banglamung along with senior officials from The Pollution Control Office of Natural Resources and Environment, Chonburi and The Pattaya Environment Agency paid a visit to The Waterfront Suites and Residences which is a new massive condo project under construction at the bottom end of Walking Street.
No they were not there to buy new off plan condos at reduced rates from the sales office (although that may have helped) They were there in response to numerous complaints from local residents, boat operators and folks who use the large car park down at Bali Hai Pier
The complaints were aimed at the construction company that didn't seem to be keeping it's environmental commitments to keep down dust and debris from the site which was spoiling the areas and the paintwork of cars parked up nearby.
Khun Sakchai Teangho slapped down an ultimatum that if improvements are not completed within two weeks and the EIA regulations strictly adhered to then he will have no other choice than to order suspension or construction at the site.
