Khun Phawat the Sheriff of Sattahip announced the results of an undercover drugs suppression operation which netted a local fisherman who was known to be selling drugs in Sattahip.
The operation involved military and civilian drugs enforcement officers who had set up a sting operation. A drugs buy was arranged at a house in Moo 2 Tambon Sattahip and the drugs dealer was enticed into selling undercover officers a quantity of drugs.
A Khun Santi aged 40 was arrested for possession of 4 Yaa Baa (metamphetamine tablets) and other suspects including a Khun Yutthana were detained for questioning.
Khun Santi said that he had turned to selling drugs to buy milk for his young baby and bought the drugs from Cambodian fisherman operating out of the Sattahip area.
