Fake Policeman Arrested on Koh Larn Island Pattaya

Pattaya Police routinely patrol the streets of Pattaya arresting fake ladies who fuel the crime wave in this squeaky clean international destination.

This week their target was not fake ladies but a fake policeman who was running his own one man crime spree on the island of Koh Larn. Reports from residents on the island indicated that a man dressed as an immigration officer was shaking down illegal aliens working the tourist trade and extorting cash and bribes.

Pattaya Police Chief, Police Colonel Supachai led a team of real officers to the Island who located the fake officer, Khun Padunkian aged 30. The fake police man Khun Padunkian surrendered to the real police officers and said that it was a fair cop.

Police found an Aladdin's cave of police paraphernalia. Police uniforms with insignia, flash lights, gun holsters, hand cuffs, police id's and even a police number plate. Of more concern were weapons and ammunition that appear to have been stolen from a shooting range on the island.

Khun Padunkian admitted to stealing the weapons but has not confessed to acting as a police officer. The Pattaya Police decided to show the fake police man how real police man work and gave him a free trip to Pattaya Police Station where he has been formally charged with possession of a firearm, impersonating a Royal Thai Police Officer and extortion.
