Pattaya Police Volunteers were out in force on Walking Street this week. Badges polished, Berets worn at a cocky angle and the glarey reflections of bright neon signs bouncing off their spotless shiny boots.
No this was not a tourist crime suppression exercise. This was not a sweep of undesirables. No this was more important. A photo opportunity for Lieutenant Colonel Arun head of The Pattaya Police Volunteer Force.
Visitors to Pattaya can be assured that when they are over charged, conned into paying for expensive beers at non-sexy sex shows, cheated, robbed, mugged or any combination of the aforementioned on Walking Street the upstanding members of The Pattaya Police Volunteers are ready for action and will be waiting for them at the Entrance to Walking Street where they are well equipped to give friendly advice and cup of tea.
