Drunken Thai Man Jumps From Forth Floor Apartment in South Pattaya

A warning to the minority of tourists who imbibe Thai alcoholic beverages whilst visiting the Land of Smiles. Thai whisky and Thai beer can cause some strange psychological effects not normally known in the west.

Police and a unit of The Sawang Boriboon Rescue Foundation were called to give assistance to a man who had fallen from the fourth floor of an apartment block.

At the scene The Teerapat Apartments in Moo 10 South Pattaya they found a Khun Jakraphan aged 25 moaning rather loudly. He had had an argument with his wife and in a drunken stupour decided to exit the apartment via the balcony rather than the normal way through the front door.

Jumping from the floor is normally enough to cause serious injuries however on this occassion he survived the drop but had an argument with a metal post on the way down. The metal post won and pierced his leg.

His wife told the police about her husband's liking for Thai beverages and the frequent arguments that often resulted. Let's see what happens when he hobbles back from hospital. Maybe the wife should move to a lower floor before he returns.
