At The Banglamung District Offices Khun Sakchai Teangho the Chief of Banglamung District chaired a Committee meeting whose portfolio is to provide aid and assistance to the victims of crime and disasters in the Banglamung Pattaya area.
This committeee overseas a fund that has been in operation for the last 5 years to provide money and assistance to local Thai tourists and foreign tourists who have been the victims of crime and suffered hardship due to misshap whilst on holiday in the area.
The past year has seen a dramatic inrease in casualties mainly due to marine accidents and the committee need to review the size of the fund and make sure that an efficient organization is in place to get help to those who need it in a timely manner.
The Association has a board of 19 members including both public and private sector participants. who are involved in the tourism business and in promoting tourism in Pattaya.
