Chinese Credit Card Scammers Caught in Pattaya

Pattaya Police Chief Colonel Supachai, together with The Provincial Transnational Crime Suppression Unit held a joint press conference to announce the arrest of Three Chinese nationals who had been apprehended in Pattaya for using and cloning fake credit cards.

The arrests came about after alert staff at Mike's Shopping Mall alerted the police that two foreigners were attempting to buy mobile phones with what appeared to be fake credit cards.

Police arrived at the store examined the cards and arrested Mr. Xuan Tao aged 37 and Mr. Shi Yanhua aged 25. They then moved on to The Hard Rock Hotel and arrested an accomplice Mr. Shi Zhi Yong aged 46

From an examination of the bank number on the back of the electronic cards they found that they did not not match the number on the card electronically electronically embedded which indicated that the cards were fake. Police seized as evidence Six fake credit cards, an electronic swiping machine which is used to upload credit card information onto the cards along with three mobile phones.
