Phan Thong Police were called in to investigate a tragic accident when a mechanic was crushed to death when the trailer he was working on collapsed on top of him.
At the scene they found the body of Khun Thanapon he was laying face down under the trailer and had died probably instantly by being crushed by the 18 wheel truck that had fallen on him
The owner of the garage Khun Bandit aged 43 said that the trailer had been raised using hydraulic jacks so that repairs could be carried out but suddenly there was a loud crash and the jacks failed causing the trailer to crash down.
A thorough inspection of the accident scene and the equipment in the garage will need to be made to see if any one may be deemed negligent in causing the death of the young mechanic.
