A team of Chonburi police investigators arrested two young women in Donhuaroh of Chonburi and charged then with procuring children with the purpose of performing sex acts.
The pair of alleged sex traffickers were 22 year old Miss Narisara and her friend also 22 year old Miss Sukanya.
The police had set up a sting operation after being made aware of theonline sex business that used Facebook to elicit customers and provide them with underage children for sexual purposes at 1,000 - 1,500 Baht a time.
The officers made contact with the women by telephone and arranged a meeting at a motel in Donhuaroh with an undercover agent posing as a customer.
Under interrogation after their arrests the women confessed to the trafficking crimes and said they were paid between 4 - 5,000 Baht for each child they recruited. They used the money for everyday living expenses as well as paying for entertainment and nights out on the town.
To be sure they will be spending more than a few nights indoors courtesy of The Department of Corrections if they are convicted as participants in this evil trade.
