Swedish Foreigner in Pattaya Cheats Thai With Fake Rolex Watch

A Thai businessman Khun Samit took time to go to Pattaya Police Station to make a report that he had been duped by a foreigner who had sold him a Rolex Watch that turned out to be a fake.

Yes that's right things are getting even weirder in Pattaya - Farlang cheats Thai over deal with fake Rolex.

Khun Samit aged 26 from Bangkok the owner of a plastics manufacturing plant said that he had arranged to meet the foreigner Mr. Carl Anders Mikael Andersson aged 54 from Sweden at Big C Extra in Central Pattaya after he had seen a Rolex watch on the Internet advertised at a bargain price of 110,000 Baht. The watch had a starting price of 240,000 Baht. Khun Samit thought it was time to make a killing and arranged to meet Mr. Andersson.

At Big C Khun Samit was not alarmed and thought the second hand watch was a bargain so he handed over the cash. Mr. Andersson pocketed the cash and quickly exited stage left after leaving a photo copy of his passport or someon else's passport with the now lucky owner of a totally worthless fake Rolex timepiece.

The second hand on the Rolex hadn't clicked on another notch before Khun Samit realised he might have been cheated and went to a watch shop in Big C who gave him the bad news.

Pattaya Police have put Mr. Mr Anderssen on a national watch list and the second he is clocked at an immigration desk trying to leave Thailand the alarm will go off. There is a further unconfirmed report that a foreigner with a funny European accent just handed over 110 crisp 1,000 Baht notes to a fake watch vendor on Pattaya Beach Road for 55 very good fake Rolex Watches.
