Drunk Gunman Arrested on Koh Larn Island Pattaya

Police Colonel Supachai the on duty senior officer of Pattaya Police station received a report of a drunken Thai man on Koh Larn Island threatening locals and tourists with an assault rifle. With absolutely no regard for his own safety Colonel Supachai ordered Lieutenant Colonel Preecha to go out to the island and arrest the gun man.

Leutenant Colonel Preecha donned a police vest, donned a bullet proof vest and a life vest and rushed to the island.

Leutenant Colonel Preecha was directed to house number 51 where the gun man was reportedly holed up. Lieutenant Colonel Preecha bravely entered the premises (as ordered by his boss) to be met by Khun Sanae aged 56 the owner of the house who was also the owner of an M16 assault rifle.

The rather tipsy Khun Sanae said that he had had a disagreement with some relatives and had used the M16 to threaten them however he didn't mean to scare the tourists. Besides the weapon was very old and didn't work so there was no danger. Investigations show that Khun Sanae does have a licence for a gun but not this particular gun.

Local residents of the Island said Khun Sanae was pretty harmless. He would often walk around with guns, especially when he was drunk.

Khun Sanae was detained the unoffensive M16 rifle seized and a rather sea sick Lieutenant Colonel Preecha returned to a hero's welcome back at Pattaya Police Station.
