ABAC Students Visit Centre against Human Trafficking Nongprue, East Pattaya

It's summer break for kids in Thailand. A traditional way of keeping the kids occupied is to organize a Summer Camp.

Students from Assumption University or ABAC as it is well known descended on Nongprue, Banglamung to participate in this years ABAC summer camp.

One of the activities for the students was to pay a visit to the Centre against Human Trafficking where they donated their time to teach English to the kids. Thai students teaching English to Thai children makes me cringe just at the thought of it but it's the thought that counts and I am sure everyone the kids and the students enjoyed the activities.

About 35 students arrived at the center armed with educational materials that they had prepared and purchased.

One of the students when interviewed about his motivations said - because in this society continues to ignore these issues . So I want to be a part of helping the children. A better life . And wanted society recognizes the importance of the issue of human trafficking. - Hey that's pretty good English after all.

In addition to the ABAC students the kids had a field day with a local organization that runs a football competition in the area turned up to donate some well needed and well appreciated sports equipment for the kids.

I feel an ABAC versus Nongprue kids football match coming on here.
