Sattahip Drugs Dealer Arrested

Khun Phawat The Chief of Sattahip District along with senior officers from the drugs suppression force in Sattahip announced the arrest of a Khun Thongsuk aged 54 on charges of being in the possession of and supplying of class 1 narcotics.

Drug enforcement agents led a raid on a house at Moo2 in Seamsarn District of Chonburi after receiving information that the suspect was selling drugs to workers and fishermen in the area.

As the agents raided the premises the suspect fled to the bathroom and locked the door. Agents broke down the door to find Khun Phawat trying to flush his stash of drugs down the toilet.

It's not known how much he managed to get rid of but they were able to seize a sizable hoard of 337 Yaa Baa (methamphetamine tablets) and another 398 tablets that were still in the u-bend of the toilet.

Under questioning Khun Phawat confessed to being a drugs supplier and said that he had not been doing it for very long as he needed the money to pay off gambling debts. He gave up his source as a Khun Nui who is an inmate in Chonburi prison who he would buy the drugs for 120 Baht per tablet and sell on to foreign workers for 200 Baht each.

It's a dead cert that his gambling debts won't get paid for some time as he is given a chance to visit his friend in Chonburi prison every day for a long while.
