Pattaya Police were called to investigate a drive by shooting incident in front of a Bar in Central Pattaya.
At the scene at the Nasha Russia Tour Ltd Shop, which is now used as a bar they interviewed a Khun Wiwat aged 28 who said that he was sat drinking with some friends when a 4 Thai youths on two motorcycles drove past and one of them started shooting in his direction then they rode off in the direction of Pattaya Third Road.
He said that he did not know them and to his knowledge he was not on anyone's hit list. The police searched the scene and found 4 x spent .38 mm bullets which they took away as evidence. Meanwhile a radio alert was put out to be on the look out for the attackers.
Later one of the motorcycles they were searching for was spotted on Pattaya Third Road and they chased the suspects into Soi Xcyte where the two youths did a runner. They were soon apprehended after hiding in a chicken coop. It was an unlucky night for Khun Siwirat and Khun Manotch both aged 20 they were not after all involved in the drive by shooting but they were in possession of Marijuana and drugs paraphernalia.
Police are continuing the search for the real culprits.
