An elaborate ceremony was held to lay the foundation stones for a new building for the Redemptorist Foundation for the developmentally disabled.
Local dignitaries were present including Khun Itthipol the Mayor of Pattaya, Pattaya City Council members, representatives from The Chonburi Provincial Administration Organization and members from local faith based non governmental organizations such as the Father Ray Foundation.
A Buddhist dedication ceremony was performed led by the Abbot of Wat Chaimongkol and his band of chanting monks.
Flowers were scattered, holy water liberally sprayed around and hopes and prayers offered for this prestigious charitable project which will see a brand new four storey building with 3,200 square meters of space erected that will house much needed facilities for children with special needs and young folks with Downs syndrome and other mentally afflicted disabilities.
Very soon there will be a spanking brand new building for these special kids with special needs to to enjoy vocational skills, sports and special education training.
