Students from Burapha University along with Officials of Banglamung District held a luncheon for elderly folks at The general hall of The Banglamung Social Welfare Development Building.
The students had brought along much needed personal supplies for the old folks including - toilet paper, adult diapers, and soap powder.
There was a happy atmosphere as the elderly folks in attendance thanked their benefactors. Then they all got down to a good old sing song.

North Pattaya Counterfeit Goods Warehouse Raided
A press conference was held at Banglamung Police Station where Police Major General Sanit the Acting Region 2 Police Commissioner announced the results of a search and seize operation which took place at a warehouse in North Pattaya suspected of being a storage and distribution facility for counterfeit goods.
The raid was carried out with a search warrant issued by Pattaya Provincial Court. At the time of the raid the warehouse was not occupied so no one was arrested. However as was thought the warehouse contained a huge quantity of fake and counterfeited merchandise destined for the streets of Pattaya.
Seized in the raid were: A total of 1,042 counterfeit branded items with an estimated retail value of 800,000 Baht. There were many Counterfeit Samsung Mobile Phone Covers as well as goods with Brands such as Adidas and Camel.
Tourists visiting Pattaya can now breathe a sigh of relief that they won't be tempted with fake brand name souvenirs and will be happy to pay thousands of Baht more for the real thing.

Seniors Care At The Bangkok Hospital Pattaya
A conference was held at The Bangkok Hospital Pattaya focusing on medical, nursing and rehabilitation care for the elderly. Senior doctors and medical staff from The Bangkok Hospital Pattaya and other hospitals and medical organizations from the region gathered to listen and participate in lectures, and workshops on such topics as care for elderly patients with chronic pain, those suffering from osteo arthritis and also other ailments associated with seniors such as dementia.

Thailand Post New Uniform Convoy in Pattaya
The Banglamung Branch of The Thailand Post Office bless their cotton socks decided to celebrate the changing of the guard or at least the changing of the uniforms for their mobile postal delivery staff by forming a mobile traffic jam that toured the region.
60 Thailand Post Motorcyclists ditched their 11 year old drab grey garbs and donned the smart new red and black uniforms and drove convoy style from Banglamung Post office through Naklua to North Pattaya and back along Sukhumvit to the Main post office in Banglamung.
I am sure that local residents and motorists stuck behind the postal workers were going postal themselves too. Great idea Thailand Post - let's hope you can make these smart new uniforms last another 11 years.

Banglamung Ice Company Accident Free
The Banglamung Ice Company are a real bunch of cool dudes. They calmly announced that there are only 27 days left on this years campaign to pass the year without any of the staff being involved in a road accident.
Khun Watcharat the head of regional delivery is confident that the company can see out the year with a zero accident rate and urged his staff to stay diligent and drive with care.
I am sure his staff are careful drivers. I worry about all the other idiots on the road. So I suggest that they arm themselves with all the Buddha images, Buddha statues and Buddhist amulets mount them on their dashboards, touch wood, throw salt over their shoulders, kiss a frog and generally avoid breaking any mirrors or walking under any ladders whilst delivering their bags of frozen water.
