Pattaya Police and Pattaya Police Volunteers went on the offensives this week going out on the streets to spot Thai youths thought to be under the influence of narcotic substances
It didn't take them long to bring in a haul of 7 people 4 males and 3 females who subsequently tested positive for drugs consumption. After interrogating these suspects they received information about a drug dealer thought to be operating in South Pattaya and supplying Thai teenagers.
Police set up a sting operation and trapped the drug dealer into selling undercover agents drugs in turn for marked notes. As soon as the deals went down lurking boys in brown rushed in to make the arrests.
Khun Somsak aged 21, sold 2 packets of the class 1 drug Yaa Ice (Crystal Methamphetamine) weighing 2.48g. Khun Somsak was charged with possession and supply of a class 1 narcotic and he is in the cooler for selling the Yaa Icy where he will no doubt face the icy stare of a local judge.
Now the police have further information about his supplier in Bangkok and no doubt Bangkok drug suppression agents will be informed.
