A novel way to reward hotel staff came to light this week. The directors of the A-One The Royal Cruise Hotel, you know the one on beach road up past The Hard Rock Hotel the one that looks like a ship laid on a birthday party for staff who had a birthday in March.
Khun Ratana and Khun Tasanee led the birthday celebrations greeting the birthday boys and birthday girls who received birthday presents from the hotel and from their fellow staff members. Also joining the celebrations was the winner of February staff member of the month. After the speeches it was time to blow out the cake and cut the candles and everyone got to join in the popular bird song that is sung at all Thai birthday parties. Don't forget it's my birth day in May.
