Pattaya Police from Dongtan sub-station and a unit of the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Foundation rushed to assist after a man had been brought to the beach after a drowning incident just offshore.
Rescue workers on the beach from the Tappraya 2310 Foundation had been alerted to the drowning man by some kids who had been out in a boat, seen the man and rushed back to the beach.
At the scene opposite The Now Hotel on Jomtien beach they found a man thought to be a Thai national unconscious and not breathing. Sawang Boriboon Rescue Foundation volunteers stepped in and CPR was performed immediately before he was put in an ambulance and transported speedily to Pattaya Memorial Hospital.
At this time the man's identity is not known as he has not yet regained consciousness.
