Several chapters of the local Lions Club Organization went on a bar crawl with a difference this week. their aim was to spend some time behind bars. No not those type of bars although I am sure that more than a few have had more than a few in more than a few bars in Pattaya.
Their aim this day was to spend some time at Pattaya Remand Prison. They went well equipped to donate some items that should bring a little relief to the hundreds of inmates who are spending a little alone time waiting for their court cases to come up. They brought with them meals on wheels for some 300 female inmates and three fresh water dispensing machines which is certainly a cool idea during this hot season along with a couple of hundred books to take up a little time of those doing tedious time in this place of a thousand bars.
