Russian American Commits Suicide Jump From Jomtien Beach Condominium

Pattaya police from Dongtan sub station on Jomtien Beach and a Unit of The Sawang Boriboon Rescue Foundation were called to a Condominium complex after reports that a foreigner had fallen to his death from the building.

At the Lumpini Park Jomtien Beach Condominium, Police Officers found the body of a Russian-Born American National, Mr. Semyon Roitman aged 66. Mr. Roitman had sustained massive injuries. It appears that he had committed suicide by jumping from the balcony of his 21st floor condominium.

The police examined his condo and found no signs of a struggle or foul play. Staff told the police that Mr. Roitman suffered from an advanced stage of Alzheimer's disease. It is assumed that he decided to end it all due to his health condition and depressed state.

His body was transported to hospital for a full post mortem to be carried out. As is the custom the American Embassy in Bangkok have been informed about the death of one of it's nationals.

Yet another sad case of a foreigner in Pattaya taking his own life. Pattaya is now becoming a sophisticated international holiday resort. What is needed is some form of sophisticated social services to give some semblance of support to these valuable members of society.

Pattaya needs a branch of an organization like The Samaritans - come on you guys you can do it - SAVE A FEW LIVES instead of wasting your time collecting rubbish to "Save The Planet"
