As I travelled down Beach Road in a Songtheaw the other night on a purely journalistic fact finding mission to Walking Street I was struck by the beautification of the Beach Road Promenade. The only ugliness to be seen were the gangs of butt ugly ladyboys strutting their stuff. With fewer coconut trees at the coconut bar these days the lady boys may be able to run - if with a little difficulty in their high heels but they can't hide from the prying eyes and short arms of the Pattaya boys in brown.
Pattaya Police are forgoing their lengthy tea breaks and getting out there in the action. Another sweep this week along Pattaya Beach Road and Walking Street rounded up 100 undesirables, lady boys, drug addicts and general miscreants and marched off the short distance to the police station to have their vital statistics compared with statistics on the police computers.
Pol.Capt. Netithorn Rattanasuchanan at the station expressed his concerns and concerns from his superiors that these bisexual bandits and drug addicted bottom feeders are harming the squeaky clean image of the fine International family orientated resort of Pattaya where tourist related muggings and robberies are not a daily occurrence but more like an hourly event.
