Fire alarms rang out out at The Central Centre part of the Central Festival Shopping Mall. It had been reported that a hot beautician had overheated and smoke was billowing from a beauty salon.
Staff responded admirably directing shoppers to the exits and assembling outside at of course the designated assembly points. The assembled shoppers and assembled staff then watched an assembly of fire fighters enter at tremendous risk to their lives to help the overheated beautician. But alass their was no hot lass needing their help. It was all part of an elaborate fire drill and public relations exercise.
Their was a loud round of applause as the fire drill was declared over and the assembled onlookers and assembled shop workers made their way back to spend more money in the Centre.
The fire drill was part of The Central Center Pattaya Exhibition of 2557 fire protection week and aimed to give confidence to the shoppers and according to one official to bring a warm glow to the shopkeepers - let's hope the warm glow doesn't get too warm.
