Pattaya Fake Goods Raid

Pattaya Police are progressing with their policy to stamp out the peddling of fake products. This week they shifted their attention a few hundred meters from Beach Road where their prosecution of fake ladies is not working so well.

Their target tonight: fake goods. For assistance they called in the big guns - Pol.Lt.Col. Chaiyadit the Commander of The Centre of Suppression for Intellectual Property Violations, Provincial Police Section 2 led a team of officers to Walking Street where a shop selling leather goods and fashion accessories was targeted.

At the shop on the ground floor of an un-named three storey building they found a plethora of paltry priced products. There were wallets, luggage, handbags, belts, shirts, jeans, which were copies of well-known brands such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel, etc

The owners were promptly arrested. Khun Panya aged 28 and a Khun Aphichat aged 38 and 80,000 Baht worth of products seized and taken to Pattaya Police Station to be shared out amongst - sorry to be stored and used as evidence.

Khun Panya and a Khun Aphichat confessed to selling pirated goods - let's hope that some of those designer wallets contained some large quantities of designer currency.
