Live Shell Found Dumped in Naklua North Pattaya

Pattaya Police were called to check on a suspicious object in a suspicious fertilizer bag in North Pattaya. At the scene just off the side of the road on Moo 2 in Naklua and close to The Maryvit School.

Their suspicions got more suspect and a call was made to The Royal Thai Navy Bomb Disposal Unit they arrived and confirmed everyone's suspicions. It was a live if old 105mm anti-aircraft artillery projectile. The experts carefully removed the viable shell for appropriate disposal at a remote and safe destination.

The person who found the suspicious package Khun Anan aged 28 from Petchaburi Province said that he was out with his mother collecting recyclable garbage when he came across the fertiliser bag that had been dumped close to some other normal garbage bags.

Lucky day for Khun Anan and lucky for the kids at Maryvit school who can go about their lives a little safer today.
