Nongprue Police and a unit of the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Foundation were called to attend a serious motorcycle accident involving multiple vehicles, multiple casualties and possible fatalities.
At the scene close to the Redemptorist Vocational School and The Elephant Farm in East Pattaya they came across a scene of carnage.Apparently a Honda Wave motorcycle carrying three youths had tried to take a bend at high speed and hit a speed bump and then crashed head on into another Honda Wave Motorcycle. The racing motorcycle burst into flames.
The 15 year old driver of the motorcycle was laying dead in the road a few meters from the now burning motorcycle. Close to him was the body of one of his 15 year old passengers and the badly injured second passenger also aged 15
The 32 year old driver of the second motorcycle sustained only minor injuries as dis another young man who were treated by medics at the scene.
The parents of one of the deceased boys had arrived at the scene on hearing about the accident. They will have to wait however for their son's body to be released to them as the bodies of the victims were transported to Banglamung Hospital for a post mortem to be carried out.
