Man Slashes Wrists in Attempted Suicide in Bowin, Chonburi

Police officers from Bowin Police Station and rescue workers rushed to give assistance to help a man who was bleeding heavily after attempting to commit suicide by slashing his wrists.

At the scene they found a Khun Somchai aged 27 who was in a terrible state with blood gushing from wounds that he had inflicted on his arms with a kitchen knife. Medics were able to give first aid at the scene and stem the blood flow. He was then transported to hospital for further emergency treatment.

It appears that Khun Somchai's wife had left him after an argument and returned to her home in Buriram Province in The Northeast of Thailand. This had caused him much grief and he had attempted to take his own life by slashing his wrists with a sharp kitchen knife.
