Teenage Motorcycle Thieves Arrested in Jomtien Pattaya

Don't be too surprised to see guys in military uniforms accompanying guys in brown police uniforms riding around in Pattaya. Since the imposition of martial law in Thailand a few weeks ago the top brass have ordered their soldiers and sailors to partner with law enforcement officers commonly known as policemen in an effort to reduce crime in all areas of Thailand.

One such police / naval team was patrolling in the Jomtien area when they received a call to attend an apartment block where two teenagers had been arrested by a police volunteer. They sailed straight to the scene - The CD Mansion in Soi Tepprasit.

There they found Khun Nikorn Saithong a 27 year old police volunteer and the two 17 year olds and a Honda Wave motorcycle that had no number plates and also had signs of tampering to the ignition switch.

They had a story ready. They said that they had come to the apartment block with another friend who was the owner of the motorcycle. This Friend was noticeable by his absence. The police volunteer had heard the same story and questioned the man at the reception who had never seen these dimwits before and expressed concerns because many bikes had been nicked from that location.

The police ran the details of the bike and found that it had indeed been stolen a few weeks before in the Jomtien area. Another pair of thieving scum taken off the streets of Pattaya, for a while at least courtesy of the boys in brown and the boys in blue.
