Pattaya, Jomtien, Koh Larn Island Thieves and Drug Addicts Rounded-up

Pattaya Police in the process of solving one snatch and grab crime and arresting the culprits are now in the process of following up and arresting associates of the low lifes and the people they fenced their illegal gains to.

This all stems from the case of a Mr. Lim Sylvian aged 36 a French national lost 80,000 Baht’s worth of gold as he rode on a Baht Bus in Soi Chayapreuk in Jomtien on 20th July when it was snatched by a couple of guys on a passing motorcycle.

From CCTV coverage in the area they made the first arrests of Khun Supagiet aged 20, Khun Surachai aged 23 and Khun Somsak aged 33 who were members of the snatch and grab gang.

They then moved in on the fence - Khun Suwat aged 33. He was arrested after he was found in possession of the stolen items which he had purchased from the gang. In addition, 2 Buddhist Amulets, 2 Gold Rings, 57,000 Baht and a Glock 17 handgun with 36 bullets were seized.

The gang were operating from Koh Larn Island. Police took a day trip to the island and netted other members of the gang along with another 10 drug addled youths men and women who tested positive for recent consumption of narcotics.
