Owner of Boutique Hotel in Soi VC Pattaya Surrenders to Police

The tale of the Boutique Hotel in Soi VC South Pattaya drags on and reached new heights this week. The hotel is subject to a demolition order from Pattaya City for allegedly being modified with extra floors.

Cout order after court order, raid after raid has so far come to nought. The reason - The owner Khun Alongkorn aged 47 a reputed billionaire from Bangkok thinks he is above the law and so can build above the other buildings on his road with impunity. He has extended the building from 7 floors to 13 floors - an unlucky number for Khun Alongkorn despite the number in his bank nbalance

Pattaya City Hall are concerned that the structure is unsafe and a potential death trap for the mainly foreign tourists who stay there. 

Khun Alongkorn flanked by a team of legal advisors surrendered himself at Pattaya Police Station. A meeting was held, chaired by Police Major General Sanit, the Acting Commissioner of Region 2 Police, Khun Komsan, the Governor of Chonburi Province, Khun Ronagit, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya and Police Colonel Supatee, the Acting Superintendent of Pattaya Police Station.

The result bail had already been arranged for 500,000 Baht and his lawyers had arranged a preliminary payment of 200,000 Baht to secure his immediate release. How big is your chump change wallet?
