Fatal Accident in Laem Chabang Kills Two Motorcyclists

Police Officers from Sriracha Police Station and unit from Yhe Sawang Prathip Rescue Foundation were called to attend a fatal road accident in Leam Chabang. At the scene on the Leam Chabang Flyover they found a wrecked Honda MSX motorcycle and an Isuzu van that had been in a collision. There were two bodies in the road both with extensive injuries and both dead.

The deceased were identified as Khun Amnart aged 25 who works for a company in Leam Chabang and Khun Phisamai she worked as a maid locally. The driver of the van Khun Bunmee aged 60 from Nakon Ratchasima Province in the North East of Thailand was waiting by his vehicle for the police to arrive. He told the police that he had just left the port at Leam Chabang and was going relatively slowly over the flyover when the motorcycle came up at high speed and crashed into the rear of his van.

The police took evidence at the scene and detained Khun Boonmee so that they can interview him further at the police station. Meanwhile the bodies of the deceased were removed from the scene and taken to Laem Chabang to hospital for a post mortem to be carried out before they can be released to family members for funeral rites to be carried out.
