75 Year Old Severely Injured Crossing Sukhumvit Road Pattaya

Pattaya Police and a Rescue Foundation Unit rushed to the scene of an accident on Sukhumvit Road after they received a report of a pedestrian being severely injured.

At the scene they found a Khun Mana aged 75 laying in a pool of blood he had suffered a broken left leg and serious head wounds. He was transported immediately to The Queen Sirikit Naval Hospital in Sattahip for emergency treatment.

The lady driver Khun Suwaree aged 47 said that the victim had walked out in front of her vehicle. She tried to brake but could not avoid the collission. Police have yet to question eyewitnesses and of course the victim Khun Mana if he survives.

Khun Suwaree I applaud your courage in staying at the scene and not doing a runner as so many Thai drivers do However I speak as an ex-driving instructor - You plough down a 75 year old man and are sorry your attempt to brake did not work - I wonder who taught you to drive if anyone ever did - it certainly wasn't me.
