Police officers from Nongkham police station in Sriracha and a Rescue Foundation Unit were called to the scene of a road accident with reports of one person seriously injured and one fatality.
At the scene on the road that goes to Nongprue in Nongkham district they found a Honda Wave motorcycle that appears to have collided with a power pole.
Both the rider and the pillion passenger were Cambodian. The driver Mr. Tangtoo aged 23 was dead on scene and the pillion passenger Mr. Yong was seriously hurt and transported immediately to hospital in Leam Chabang for emergency treatment.
Witnesses said that the two Cambodians worked nearby and prior to the accident they went to buy beer at a convenience store. It is almost certain that the deceased rifer was drunk and whilst returning home at some speed crashed into the power pole.
