School Boy Injured in Motorcycle Accident in Sattahip

Police and a unit from The Sawang Boriboon Rescue Foundation were called to attend a road accident on the main road in front of Tesco Lotus Supermarket in Sattahip.

At the scene they found a Khun Chanathip a 16 years old school boy and his wrecked Honda Wave Motorcycle both laying in the road. Nearby was an Isuzu D Max pick-up truck parked up with some damage to the vehicle along with it's driver a Thai military officer Khun Nantree aged 38.

The pick up driver was not injured. The school boy was given first aid at the scene and then transported to Queen Sirikit Hospital in Sattahip for further treatment.

The boy said that he was returning back to school after buying some school supplies at the market in Sattahip when a van cut in front of him causing him to crash his motorcycle.

When will Thai parents learn that school kids should not be riding motorcycles on busy main roads. On any roads in fact.
