Central Festival Pattaya Beach played host to a successful musical event this week "Youth Orchestra in Pattaya 2014" 46 young entrants competed in several categories and were able to show off their virtuoso musical prowess to the judges and their enthusiastic and receptive audiences.
Khun Rankit Ekasing The Deputy Mayor of Pattaya was on hand to present prizes and trophies. The winner of the competition received a 10,000 Baht cash prize, second place 9,000 Baht and third place 8,000 Baht.
There were many other prizes and trophies handed out including a brand new electric guitar won by a 16 year old and 3,000 Baht prizes for a 14 year old Bassist and a 12 year old drummer.
The organisers were happy that the competition had given young people a chance to show off their musical talents that it is hoped would be useful in their future lives and careers and also set a fine example to their peers who could well use some music practise rather than than wasting their times on drugs and Internet games.
