Pattaya Police and a Unit of The Sawang Boriboon Rescue Foundation were dispatched to provide assistance after the body of a foreigner was found in the bathroom at a department store in North Pattaya.
At the scene they found the body of 71 year old Mr. Eddy Joseph Martin a British National who was staying at a condo in the Pratamnack area of Pattaya. Medics attempted to give Mr. Martin CPR but could not revive him.
A cleaner had gone into the bathroom and noticed that someone had gone to into a toilet cubicle and had not quit made the door before he became ill and left signs outside the cubicle.
It seems that Mr. Martin may have had a severe bought of diarrhoea. The exact cause of death will be determined by a forensic post mortem which will be carried out at the hospital where his body was transported. The British Embassy has been notified of the death of one of it's nationals.
