Nongprue Police, Medics from Banglamung Hospital and a unit of the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Foundation were called to the scene of a fatal road accident
At the scene near the railway lines in East Pattaya they found a wrecked Honda Wave motorcycle and the body of it's rider Khun Salinthip aged 51
The police spent some time interviewing nearby residents but could find no one who had seen the accident. The only clues that they have are some pieces of a van that are thought to have come from the vehicle that was in collision with the motorctcle but whose heart less driver, as seems the norm in Thailand, thought it better not to hang around to face the music and left his victim to die at the side of the road.
