Sattahip Police and a Unit of the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Foundation rushed to a reported hit and run accident with three people reportedly seriously injured. At the scene near the entrance to the naval base they found a wrecked Honda Wave motorcycle and three people who were riding the motorcycle badly hurt.
Khun Nittaya aged 22 years old was moaning in pain and appeared to have suffered some fractures.
Khun Nikorn aged 28 had a broken left leg and Khun Khattaya was injured and unconscious.
They were all given first aid at the scene and then taken to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit Hospital for further emergency treatment.
Police have CCTV images of the accident and also eyewitness reports and description of a vehicle coming out of the naval base gates and slamming into the side of the motorcycle before fleeing in the direction of Rayong. The police will concentrate their enquiries with the military authorities at the base who should have a record of vehicles entering and leaving the naval facility.
