Leam Chabang Education Board Bribary Scheme

The Leam Chabang Education Board in Leam Chabang of course have set themselves a seemingly impossible task - how to get students in the area schools to think faster.

Maybe they should concentrate on getting the school kids to firstly think and then go for the faster bit. However they have come up with a sure fire scheme that I think or think faster may just conjure up the desired results.

At a meeting room at The Leam Chabang District Offices. Senior education and council officials unveiled the novel scheme. The first stage will see a mathematics competition. The competition will last for 10 to 20 minutes and the students will have to answer simple maths questions - let's not get carried away with difficult maths questions.

The scheme is based on bribery - The idea is to foster speed so the first kid to stick his hand up and presumably guesses right wins 1,000 Baht. The second kid gets 500 Baht, Third prize 300 Baht, and then consolation prizes of 100 Baht.

Now if no kids get  a question right then the prize money can be sent to my bank account courtesy of The Bangkok Bank, Central Pattaya branch, account number............

At the scene in Moo 6 of Tambon Baan Buk in Chonburi he found a Chevrolet vehicle that had been in collision with a motorcycle and a noodle stall.

He may have had a better chance of keeping control if he hadn't been over the limit for alcohol. The police charged him with reckless driving and he will need to be tested for alcohol at the station to see if this is added to the charge.

I hope his insurance covers for the damaged motorcycle stall. As for the wrecked noodle stall - well... good luck.

German Begger in Pattaya Beggers Belief

A German Begger in Pattaya Beggar's Belief. A German national found begging on the streets of Bangkok has left police and good Samaritans with a healthy spread of scrambled eggs on their collective faces.

The young German Mr. Benjamin Holst aged 29 initially touched the hearts of Thais when pictures of him begging for money went viral on the Internet. Mr. Holst has a medical condition that results in swolen legs akin to Elephantitus. His condition meant that he had a problem walking that is walking past bars.

Bankok police enlisted the help of a Khun Sirirat from a German Travel Association based in Bangkok, agreed to help Mr. Holst in conjunction with the Tourist Police in Bangkok.

She arranged for food, hotel accommodation and a whip round resulted in a 40,000 Baht fund that was given to him to survive whilst a new German Passport was issued. To pass the time Mr. Holst jumped on a bus. OK jumped is not the right word and head down to Pattaya for a little R&R.

Media frenzy accompanied him down to the land of bigger smiles. He spent the day posing for photographers and the nights getting big legless and procuring ladies of the night from motorcycle taxi drivers at the entrance to Walking Street.

Pattaya Tourist Police are not as gullible as their Bangkok brothers and Mr. Holst was soon answering questions as to his activities and also how he had managed to spend 33,000 Baht, he had 7,000 Baht left in his pocket.

Mr. Holst now faces an end to his shenanigans. Such a shame that farangs down on their luck in the future in the land of smiles will probably end up more and more in the land of frowns.

A motorcycle transporting two inebriated Thai idiots back to their room had collided with a pick-up truck.

A unit of The Sawang Boriboon Rescue Foundation was already in attendance. Medics were treating a Khun Thavisak who was laying in the road beside his trusty steed writhing in pain with a swollen face and other injuries indicative of flying through the air and sliding along a tarmac surface. A South Pattaya Kebab seller was questioned after police belied he was selling kebabs with a suspicious look on his face. Hey I don't make up these stories I just report on them.

Russian tourists in Pattaya are well known for their ability to knock back a few alcoholic beverages especially of the 7/11 kind.

In the early hours of the morning a group of gulag girls were heading for home and weaving along Walking Street when one of them took a nose dive - literally. She went down like a sack of Soviet spuds. Her mates became a little concerned when she remained motionless with blood spurting everywhere and a more than normal glazed look in her eyes. The sozzled svetlannas managed to get the attention of some Pattaya Tourist Police officers nearby who in turn called on those fine guys from The Sawang Boriboon Rescue Foundations who managed to apply a temporary bung on the bleeding Russian babe.

She was taken to hospital to have her bloody nose bandaged. Just a normal night on Walking Street.

Northern Ireland Man Commits Suicide in South Pattaya Condominium

A young Northern Ireland guy who was seemingly stressed out after losing his job committed suicide in a rented South Pattaya Condo.

Pattaya police and a unit of The Sawang Boriboon rescue Foundation rushed to The Press Condominium. In a room on the 5th floor they found the body of 27 year old Mr Michael John White laying in the doorway to the bathroom. He had signs of bruising around the neck and indications that he had used a strap to hang himself from the shower curtain rail in the bathroom. There were no signs of wounds to the body or evidence in the condo to suggest foul play was involved.

Police interviewed Mr. White's girlfriend Khun Patcharee aged 24. She told the police that Mr. White had rented the condo about three months ago. She had talked with him on the phone a bit earlier and was worried as he seemed stressed out.

She went to the condo where he told her that he had been fired from his job as a security guard back home. He told her that he had no money to give her and that she go home. She was worried about him and was concerned that he might harm himself. An argument ensued and a basket he threw at her hit the TV which fell to the ground and smashed. He then went into the bathroom.

He was in there for a long time and despite her pleas he didn't answer and she couldn't get in as the door was locked from the inside. She called security at the condo reception and a guard came up and broke into the bathroom where they found the body of Mr. White. They tried their best to revive him but were not successful.

Locals working in a nearby cassava field had seen the car on fire and rushed to assist but due to the raging fire were unable to get to the driver.

So do be careful if you meet up with beautiful Thai girls on Facebook. Oh and do try to make sure that they are girls and not blokes unless that is the way that tickles your fancy.

Pattaya Gambling Casino Raided

Pattaya Police had received a tip off with a high probability that an illegal gambling casino was under way at an apartment in Central Pattaya.

I say high chance because gambling is illegal in Thailand so the odds were very low that this could be a legal gambling operation.

They at first had a few problems gaining entry to the building - no one had a key card. Eventually they managed to sneak in and sent an advance undercover operator to gain entry to the actual apartment where the illegal deeds were thought to be underway. The officer rang the bell. A lady opened the door and said Hi. The officer said Low. He alerted his team who burst in and nabbed a group of gamblers playing High Low.

7 women, 9 men and a whole host of gambling paraphernalia like playing cars and dice were seized along with a quantity of money, essential for running a successful den of gambling iniquity. They were all loaded in to a police pick-up and the officers tossed up to see who would drive back to the police station.

The gamblers didn't seem too worried in fact as they were driven away they were already taking bets on whether they would get out in time that night to have a chance to win enough to cover their fines.

Vietnamese, Laos Ladies Arrested For Illegally Working at Sriracha Karaoke Bar

Chonburi Immigration Officers based in Pattaya, conducted an undercover operation and then raided a Karaoke Bar in Sriracha District.  which was alleged to be employing foreign workers who were not in possession of work permits.

Their sources proved correct and when they entered the restaurant and Karaoke Bar Chai Isara they found a number of employees Thai and foreign but not the owner who had conveniently taken a little time off which coincidentally coincided with the arrivel of the raiding party.

ID cards, Passports and work permits were carefully checked, looked at and scrutinised. 20 of the staff were detained for further investigations to be carried out. These were mainly Laoatian and Vietnamese hostesses whose job description was something like holding their guests microphones and consuming large quantities of coloured water at highly inflated water. Sounds like Pattaya doesn't it?

10 Vietnamese ladies who worked in the evenings and 13 ladies from the Democratic Republic of Laos were all able to produce their passports but sadly work permits were conspicuous by their absences

The ladies said that they had worked at the Karaoke bar for 2 weeks and were paid a princely or princessly sum of 100 Baht a day. Sadly, for them they all face the likelihood that they will be deported back to their home countries fairly soon.

Pattaya School Kids start in The Drugs Business Early

After nabbing some Young Thai idiots for drugs possession officers asked them some polite questions and they kindly gave up the names of their suppliers. The drugs suppression agents contacted the dealers and arranged for a drugs takeaway to be delivered to a rented room in Moo 12 of Nongprue District.

The two drugs dealers turned up on schedule for the delivery. 1,500 Baht for a small bag of Yaa Ice. The kids spotted the waiting freindly fuzz and thought it was wise to attempt a quick exit. They didn't get far. The officers searched their persons and their motorbike but no drugs were found only some items of drugs paraphanalia.

The dopey dope heads admitted to dealing drugs. They used the drugs themselves as it gave them more power while playing games in Pattaya Internet Cafes. They would finance their playful activities by selling drugs to other dopey kids.

Their parents were called probably thinking their little babies were hard at it studying in school rather than hard at it selling hard drugs. Drugs counselling was the order of the day - let the parents be creative in what other punishment, if any, is metered out Thai style.

Pattaya Hoteliers Meet With Banglamung Police To Discuss Increase in Crimes Against Tourists

In response to yet another bag snatching incident this time in North Pattaya last week where a Taiwanese lady had her handbag ripped off by four Thai robbers wearing raincoats and who fired a warning shot into the air. local hoteliers and Pattaya tourist guides attended a meeting with senior Banglamung law enforcement officials to discuss the incident and what is being done to try to make the streets of Pattaya a safer place for their guests and tourists as a whole.

At the meeting of course was the representative from the Lantara Hotel in North Pattaya where the Taiwanese couple who turned from guests to victims were staying. Also representatives from The Pattaya Hotel Owners Association who have seen this type of crime increase significantly in recent times. They voiced their concerns for the victims and of course their bottom lines as these and other crimes being reported on worldwide media cannot be doing any good for dwindling tourist arrival numbers.

Police acknowledged the problem and assured the concerned attendees that they were doing everything they could to solve this particular crime and put out extra patrols on the streets of Pattaya. The police suggested that the Hoteliers and tour guides should put up notices and hand out leaflets to their guests warning them of how to protect themselves and not leave themselves as vulnerable targets by taking more care of the valuables they may carry with them.

I hope these leaflets don't appear on the Internet.

At the scene of the incident at the beginning of Soi 14 Na Kluea, North Pattaya they met the victim a Taiwanese tourist Miss Lu Wen Shou, aged 24.  Miss Shou told the police that she had just left a convenience store and was waiting to cross the road to go back to her room at The Lantana hotel when she was suddenly confronted with 4 male Thai youths who were wearing raincoats and perched on 2 motorbikes. So yet another terrified tourist who will be returning to her home to her home in Taiwan to tell the tale of what a super place Pattaya is.

Cambodian Koh Larn Island Pattaya Beach Vendor Kicks Sand For The Cameras

It seems like the new powers that be who let me point out have considerable influence over the boys in brown are starting to make inroads on the apathetic attitude to crime that seemed to be all too frequent in the past.

Recently a video purporting to show a beach vendor Mr. Peng aged 28 from Cambodia kicking sand in the face of a woman Russian tourist prompted the authorities to track down this idiot.

The incident occurred on Nuan Beach on Koh Larn Island. It turns out that the guy was a Cambodian beach tout who was miffed off that the tourist had decided to sit on her towel on the beach rather than fork out for one of his expensive deck chairs.

Mr. Peng confessed to his actions which have tarnished the reputation of the squeaky clean image of the international tourist resort of Pattaya City and was forced to do some fresh sand kicking for the delicatation of the assembled media crews.

The actual incident occurred a while ago. The tourist did not make a report to the authorities choosing instead to post a video on the Internet. As no complaint was lodged it is probable that he will not be charged with anything related to the incident. However as an illegal alien working without a work permit he could face jail time and deportation.

Body Recovered From Sunken Fishing Boat Off Pattaya

Pattaya police officers, Pattaya marine department officials and a Sawang Borriboon Foundation rescue team were in attendance as the fishing boat that sank off Pattaya last week was raised.

The fishing boat which sank during a thunderstorm 18 miles off the coast of Pattaya was raised by a giant marine crane. Once the boat had been secured officials inspected the boat and found the body of Mr.Kid aged 38 a Burmese national in the engine room. After being submerged for some time his body was in a decomposed state but there was no sign of any foul play involved in his death.

7 other crew members escaped death when a large thunderstorm and very rough seas caused the boat to sink and the crew abandoned ship only to spend several hours in the turbulent stormy waters before help arrived.

The police collected evidence at the scene and they will use this along with statements from the crew and the owners of the vessel to make a formal report in due course.

Pattaya Sawang Boriboon Terminators Terminate Tiger Head Wasps Nest

A special unit of the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Foundation known as the Tiger Head Terminators were called out on a special mission after reports of a large swarm of deadly Tiger Head Wasps had bugging villagers in a Dark Side Village.

The team mounted their vehicle and buzzed off to the rescue. When they reached the scene they knew they were at the correct address as there were a lot of Tiger Head Wasp flying around. Their nest - the wasps that is was soon located near the entrance to the house.

Now these were the terminators. They knew what to do so they started their attack plan and sat down for a cup of tea and the waiting game began. They were waiting for dusk to drop. As the sun drops over the horizon the pesky Tiger Head wasps head for home for a bit of shut eye. As the last wasps disappeared into their nest the buzz boys buzzed in to seal off the Wasps adobe abode.

A deadly chemical pesticide mist was sprayed into the nest and the hole sealed again. Normally it takes about 3 minutes for the pesticide to permanently paralyse the pesky pests. But this was the mother of all wasp nests and further applications were needed to finally finalise the fate of these winged fiends.

The teamed cleaned up - had another cup of tea and issued a warning to the general public. Don't try this at home folks it's very dangerous - If you have a nest of Tiger Head Wasps then call out the experts The Sawang Boriboon Terminators.

Sriracha Motorcycle Accident Kills Rider

Sriracha Police and rescue foundation units responded to a road traffic accident after receiving reports that a motorcycle had crashed into a lorry.

At the scene on Route 7 in BangPhra District they found an articulated lorry parked up at the side of the highway. At the rear was a mangled Honda Wave motorcycle and the body of it's rider Khun Anusorn aged 20 from Chonburi. The rider was dead with his head smashed in and laying in a pool of blood.

The reason for the crash unknown. The police could only surmise. It was dark, It was raining, The motorcycle was going at high speed. The rider didn't see the lorry. Whatever the reason or combination of contributing factors another young Thai life is snuffed out whilst riding a motorcycle.

The body of Khun Anusorn was removed from the scene and taken to hospital for a full post mortem to be carried out before his body is given to relatives for funeral rites to be carried out.

Nernplubwan Crossroads East Pattaya Another Road Accident

Imagine a crossroads, middle of the night, no road markings, no traffic lights, vehicles travelling at high speed, drivers un-trained and maybe drunk. Do you think an accident may happen? oh I forget to mention this is Thailand and welcome to soi Nernplubwan - this is not called the darksid without a reason.

4am Nongprue police were called to attend yet another accident at the infamous railway road crossing of soi Nernplubwan.

A car driven by a Mr. Siri and a Mitsubishi driven by a lady driver who's name we do not know hurtling at high speed to an almost certain collision because no one is going to look around, no one is going to give way. The crash caused the vehicles to spin with significant damage to both, both vehicles that is. Now the police step in to collect evidence and find out which driver is to blame.

Oh I forgot the good news apart from their ego's and vehicles neither driver was hurt.

Pattaya Motorcycle Taxi Driver Arrested For Extortion

Pattaya Police Colonel Noppaporn along with Banglamung District Chief Khun Pongtasit and accompanied by a posse of military officers took part in the arrest of a Pattaya motorcycle driver who is thought to be running an extortion racket.

The taxi rider Khun Wanchai aged 46 had been dobbed in by another taxi rider after he complained to the police that Khun Wanchai was extorting 1,500 Baht per month for the right to work on a taxi stand.

Khun Wanchai denied any charges of intimidation and extortion even though he had been arrested on the same charges only three weeks ago. At that time he had been temporarily banned from riding his motorcycle. Khun Wanchai ignored this order and continued his activities.

He seems to be gobsmacked that his "riders" would grass him up. The police are looking in to this further to see how extensive his network of Somchai serfs is.

Woman Murdered in North Pattaya

Senior Pattaya Police Officers and a rescue foundation unit converged on the Pachawan Place Apartments in North Pattaya after reports of a female body being found and the possibility that a murder may have been committed.

At the scene they found the body of Khun Achara aged 28. It appeared that she had been strangled and was also smothered by pillows, bedding and was covered with a floor mat. A police forensic expert determined that she had been dead for about 5-6 hours.

There were no wounds on the body apart from some bruising on the chin. The TV and air-conditioner were turned on and no signs of a struggle in the room

The body had been found by Khun Pacharagiti aged 34 who was a friend of the victim’s Brother.
Mr.Patcharakitti Siteur said that  Khun Sarayuth who was Khun Atchara’s brother called him and asked  him to check on his sister because he had called her but couldn’t get in touch her. He then went to her room, knocked on the door but there was no reply so he decided to open the door where he found her dead.

Further investigations revealed that the deceased who normally lives in Phayao Province with her bay daughter was visiting Pattaya to see her estranged husband Khun Adun, a Pattaya Tour Guide. It is thought that an argument had taken place with the result that Khun Adul had murdered his wife.

It is also thought that Khun Adul had sent a message to his mother in Nakhon Ratchasima confessing to the murder. Police have named Khun Adul as the prime suspect in this murder case and are searching for him in Pattaya and up-country.

Plutaluang Animal Shelter Takes Care of Discarded Pattaya Pets

Things are getting wuff for the pooches and moggies that are being cared for at a local home for stray animals. Members of the media were invited to take a tour of the centre for homeless pets in Plutaluang in Sattahip District not too far from Pattaya.

Thousands of stray animals pass through the centre every year. Some of them find good homes however due to the vast numbers many do not. Animals arrive at the centre usually in a very bad state. Malnourished and suffering from a host of diseases many don't even last for the first 10 days. They die even before a little TLC, food and medications can kick in.

Taking care of the animals is an expensive business. There are good folks who donate food and cash but sadly this is never enough for the centre to make ends meet. Sattahip schools and restaurants donate their surplas food and scraps but during the low season there are less tourists and less leftovers. Also during the schoool holidays school cafetrtias are closed and again the supply of leftover food dries up.

The animals that live at the animal shelter - over 1,000 dogs and cats at the present time although only getting one round meal a day gobble up 200Kg or 20 sacks of food a day. Even at discounted prices 9,000 Baht a day is a stiff price for the centre to cover. With the cost of medications vetinary care and food it takes 300,000 Baht a month just to struggle by.

Khun Sinikorn the director of Plutaluang Animal shelter implores pet owners in the Pattaya area to take care of their pets so that they don't become strays and end up on his overstretched doorstep.

Turkish Man Nicked for Nicking Knickers from Big C Extra Pattaya

Turkish man nicked for nicking nickers from Big C. When asked why Big C he said he tried Middle C but they were too small.

Actually it wasn't reported what items he stole only that they were articles of women's clothing. Mr. Sam Hedayat aged 64 was apprehended when an alert security guard (yes there are some) spotted Mr. Hedayat stuffing stuff down the front of his trousers.

Of course he forgot to pay for them when going through check out. Probably because they were hidden where the sun don't shine or perhaps he was just having a senior moment.

The boys in brown were soon on the job and questioned Mr. Hedayat as to why he attempted to leave Big C with 8 pieces 3,000 Baht of women's clothing down his pants. Unfortunately their was something of a language barrier. There are not that many Turkish speaking policemen on the force so they locked him up after taking his knickers as evidence to await a suitably qualified Turkish translator. Suffice to be said that this Turkish man was not delighted.

Chonburi Sneak Thief Arrested

Chonburi police announced the arrest of a sneak thief who has been plaguing visitors to a park in Chonburi.

The thief Khun Wichit aged 31 would scope out the park for folks arriving on motorcycles. The park is a popular place for joggers and keep fit enthusiasts looking to get some healthy exercise in a relaxing open environment. Khun Wichit would wait for them to jog off and then prise open the seats on the motorcycles and rummage through for any valuables like mobile phones, wallets, money and watches.

Khun Wichit told the police that it took only 10 seconds to be in and out and confessed to 10 other similar crimes. Sometimes he sold the stolen goods at the shopping Mall and sometimes he was cheeky enough to call the owners friends and claim that he had bought the phone from a thief and offered to return the phones for a price of course.

He is now waiting to pay the price himself as previous convictions for Yaa Baa possession and a spell in Chonburi prison has not quite got the message home.

Chinese Tourist in Pattaya Robbed by BIke Bandits

A young Chinese tourist had a rough day when she was the victim of a bag snatch and then minutes later the victim of a motorcycle accident on the way to the police station.

Miss Meng Yin Qi was riding on a motorcycle with her friend near Soi 5 when two Thai youths riding a Honda Wave motorcycle approached. The guy on the back snatched the handbag from her shoulder and then rode off at high speed.

A nearby motorcycle taxi driver stepped up to the mark and immediately took the young lady to Pattaya Police Station. Unfortunately the bike she was now on was in a minor road accident with another car. She arrived at the police station shaken and stirred and more than a little distraught.

Her bag contained a Digital Camera, 2,000 Baht in cash, a mobile phone and her Passport. Now she was in tears as she realised that her return home would have to be delayed until she could get a replacement passport from the Chinese embassy in Bangkok.

The police sent out details immediately on the radio and went to the location of the robbery but as of yet the poor young Chinese lady stays a little poorer and stays in Pattaya waiting for replacement paperwork. All so two thieving Thai thugs can get their next fix of Yaa Baa and a bottle of whiskey.

Sriracha Bungled Hostage Situation

Police officers in Sriracha rushed to the scene of a hostage situation in a house near Wat Phansadet.

A crazed man was holding his wife at gunpoint. Khun Paiboon aged 35 was seen frantically pacing the room and groaning in a strange fashion. The police cordoned off the area and asked Khun Paiboon to put down the gun and surrender. Khun Paiboon refused to give himself up and fired 6 shots at the police. They again asked him to throw his weapon out the window. They were reluctant to return fire knowing that his wife was inside.

Khun Paiboon pushed his wife to the floor and then left the house by the rear door and disappeared through a cemetery and into dense woodland even denser than the police who had clearly not sealed off the premises. His wife refused to give a statement to the police or provide any clues as to his probable whereabouts.

Police assume that Khun Paiboon's rants were drug fuelled and that he should be caught quickly as he may be dangerous. Yes after 6 shots fired at police I would probably come up with the same conclusion.

Pattaya Sawang Boriboon Foundation Meeting For Charity Vegitarian Festival

An important meeting was held this week at the headquarters of The Sawang Boriboon Foundation. The Foundation which is most famous for it's fleet of siren screeming emergency vehicles and dedicated army of volunteer rescuers and medics also plays many roles in Pattaya society.

Dr. Wisit The President of The Sawang Boriboon Foundation, senior officials and members of the board of trustees got together to discuss the upcoming Charity Vegitarian festival which will take place between the 23rd of September an the 3rd of October.

Amongst the tasks of folks at the meetings was to finalise details of the special signs which will be provided to shop owners who will support the event and of course finalise details of the special t-shirts which will be sold to the public at 2,000 Baht in support of local charities.

A further press conference will be held at The Central Festival Pattaya Beach on the 15th of September.

Armadilo Found in East Pattaya

The Pattaya media were out in force this week to chronicle the finding of an unusual animal paying a visit to Pattaya. The press arrived at Soi Chaiyapreuk in East Pattaya to find a large group of armed school kids. Don't worry they were not armed in the usual way that Thai kids are armed they were armed with their smart phones to take a souvenir picture of this un-armed armadillo.

For those that don't know what an armadillo is - well it's like an armour plated rat. They have large claws and once were considered a nuisance for their habit of digging out the foundations of houses.

It was a Khun Somsook who found the armless armadillo and took it home for it's own safety. Wearing all that armour plating makes the armadillo crossing a road can be a dodgy manoeuvre as it is a slow moving target for ipad wielding Thai drivers.

In addition armadillos are a delicacy with prime examples fetching 2-3 thousand Baht a kilo. They are considered a protected species under the Wildlife Preservation and Protection Act which makes them even more valuable to illegal animal smugglers.

Was it Tony Christie who had a hit record with sha la la la la show me the way to amadillo.

Pattaya Road Accident and Fire Kills Two Occupants

Police and rescue foundation units rushed to the scene of a serious road traffic accident after reports came in of a car hitting a power pole and  bursting into flames.

At the scene they found a Honda Jazz car that had embedded itself into the power poles. It appears that the high voltage power lines had sparked the fire. The male driver and female passenger were still in their seats and charred beyond recognition.

With no survivors and no witnesses the police had to rely on available evidence at the scene. They came to the conclusion that the car was travelling at speed and may have been in a collision with another vehicle about 50 metres before it left the road and hit the power pole.

Big Snake Snared in East Pattaya

The reptile rescue squad from The Sawang Boriboon Rescue Foundation hit the road to do whatever reptile rescuers do after reports that a rather large reticulated creature had been spotted in a back garden.

At the scene in Moot NongPlaLai they had a close encounter of the slithering kind. The three meter python was doing a bird impression coiled up in the branches of a large tree. The rescuers were prepared they had all the high tech equipment for this risky reptile mission. A long pole and a fertilizer bag. Three rescuers took up position. One wielded the pole, one held the fertilizer bag and Khn Unlucky stood below to catch the snake.

A few pokes and prods. An oh crap from the catcer and then the snake was safely in the bag. The team then left the scene to find a much quieter less human area to release the snake.

Meanwhile a relieved Khun Somjit who had spotted the slithering snake told reportes how reeived he was and he could not only rest in peice but his family could now eat in peice. He had lost two chickens in two days.

Chinese Tourists and No Show Pattaya Ping Pong Show

Tourist police on Walking Street were informed of a Chinese visit to a Thai cultural event went wrong when they reported a No Go Ping Pong Show.

6 Chinese Tourists had handed over 2,000 Baht to a street tout to see sexy Thai ladies play play ping pong - you know how the Chinese love to play ping pong. However when they arrived at the bar in Soi Pattayaland they looked through a chink in the curtain. Would they get a seat, no problem the place was empty, very empty. They found a member of staff - they were informed solly no hab ping pong, sexy show? solly no hab sexy show, sexy Thai lady? solly no hab sexy ladies - all go home sleep we close already go away.

The Tourist Police were incensed - no hab show sexy said one tourist police officer who had obviously been here too long. So they set off to track down the tout who was making the town of disrepute into a town of even more disrepute.

They didn't have to go far The tout Khun Itinan aged 32 was still at it even at this late hour of the morning with his plastic card showing acts that were well .... disreputable. He admitted taking the Chinese tour group to the bar but said he had no idea it was already closed.

The Tourist police asked him to hand over the 2,000 Baht - No Hab he replied. So the same tourist police officer who has been here too long said Well I no hab no choice and took him down the police station.

As for the group of Chinese tourists I can only assume they returned back to their hotel to organise their own game of ping pong.
