Dog Causes Fatal Road Accident in Chonburi

Chonburi Police and A Rescue Foundation rushed to the scene of a serious road accident involving a pick-up truck and a motorcycle. At the scene near Wat Thong Kung they found a parked pick-up and at the rear a wrecked Yamaha Fino motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle Khun Witchakee aged 35 a Cambodian national was severely injured and bleeding heavily. His pillion passenger Khun Metee aged 27 was also badly hurt. They were both rushed to hospital. Unfortunately Khun Witchakee succumbed to his injuries and died soon after he arrived at hospital and his friend Khun Metee remains in critical condition.

The police interviewed the owner of the pick-up who rushed out of his house when he heard the crash.

They were also able to get a short statement from the pillion rider Khun Metee that suggested that they had swerved to miss a dog that dashed across the road and this caused them to crash into the parked pick-up truck.
