Pattaya Thai-Indian Lady Kills Herself by Self Immolation

Police officers from Na Jomtien police station along with a unit from the Sawang Rojjana Thamma Satharn rescue Foundation rushed to the area in front of The famous Buddha sculpture at Chi Chan cliff  after they had received reports of a car on fire with someone trapped inside.

At the scene they found a Honda Jazz vehicle that had sustained major fire damage. Inside was the badly charred body of Ms. Pittasnan Darsing aged 44 a Thai-Indian lady.

Locals working in a nearby cassava field had seen the car on fire and rushed to assist but due to the raging fire were unable to get to the driver.

Forensic experts soon established that the lady had commited suicide by pouring petrol on herself inside the car and setting light to it. The body of Ms. Pittasnan was taken to hospital for a full forensic autopsy to be carried out.

Further investigations revealed that the deceased who was a tour guide on Koh Larn Island was receiving treatment at Banglamung Hospital for depression after she had made a previous threat to take her own life. She escaped from the hospital and headed towards Sattahip. The police had already been notified to be on the look out for her and detain her. But unfortunately this did not happen and she was able to carry out her fatal intentions.
