A curious case of a frustrated old guy in Sattahip who tried to set up a sting to entice a young lady back to his room who in turn turned out to be an undercover agent who was set up to sting the old man by local drug enforcement officers.

Khun Phawat (Sattahip sheriff) together with Khun Chawat Thepthap (Deputy District Chief of Security Division) and the special operation of National Command Centre for Combating Drugs (NCCD), Amphur Sattahip had received information from a young lady that she had been offered drugs by an old guy she had met whilst she was walking down the street with her young baby.
Drug suppression agents set up the sting operation and supplied the young lady with 1,000 Baht in marked notes to be used for the purchase of 5 Yaa Baa (Methamphetamine tablets) The suspected drugs dealer was a Khun Thawatchai aged 63
The agents staked out his house in Soi Sema, Nong Krajong village of Tambon Samae Sarn, Amphur Sattahip whilst the undercover lady went in to make the drugs buy. 30 minutes passed by and the lady had not emerged with the bag of illegal drugs so they became concerned for her safety and raided the house.
They found the suspect Khun Thawatchai and the young lady sat on the bed chatting. Agents searched the suspect and did a sweep of his home but found no drugs whatsoever.
Then the story came out. The old guy confessed to luring the girl back to his room because he thought she was lovely and wanted to have sex with her. He hadn't had sex for over four years and was getting a bit desperate so had concocted a cock and bull storey about selling her some drugs so he could get up close and personal with her.
All they did find was a 500 Baht note that the old man had in his possession to pay for the lovely ladies services. The authorities are not pressing any charges against Khun Thawatchai and rumour has it that they dipped into their own pockets to buy the randy grandad a return ticket to Pattaya.
