Pattaya Baht Bus drivers certainly get a slagging and sometimes they deserve it. However there are honest folks out there.
One driver Khun Golapat aged 48 had dropped off a Burmese woman and her friend near Soi 33 on Naklua Road. A foreign passenger alerted the driver that the Burmese lady had left a bag in the bus. Being an honest chappy he handed it in to Khun Tawat the Manager of the Pattaya Baht Bus Cooperative. The bag contained a 22,800 Baht gold necklace and some other gold Jewelry in total a value of 50,000 Baht along with some cash and personal documents.
The manager was able to trace the passenger and the lady Miss Oo aged 19 a Burmese worker came into the office to collect her valuables and gave her praise to the Pattaya Baht bus cooperative and their honest Khun Golapat.
I hope she slipped him a few bob as a reward. Well done Khun Golapat.
