Burmese Construction Worker in Bang Seang Delivers Baby Girl

Chonburi Rescue workers and medics rushed to a construction camp after receiving reports that a Burmese woman was about to give birth at the camp after being unable to make the trip to the hospital.

The rescue team was a just a tad late. The new mum 31 year old Ms Chimatoo had just delivered a healthy 3kg baby girl. Medics cut the umbilical cord and then mum and baby were taken to Burapha University Hospital for a check up - both are reported to be doing just fine.

One of her friends said that Ms Chimatoo was a construction worker and despite the fact that her due date was fast approaching she carried on the hard graft. That day she suddenly had strong labour pains and hey presto a short while later she switched roles from building houses to building families.
