Taxi Driver Impaled on Metal Bar in East Pattaya

A unit of the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Foundation were called out to give assistance to a motorcycle taxi driver who had become impaled on a metal rod.

At the scene construction site for a row of Shop-houses in front of The Rungreung Village in Soi Kaotalo in East Pattaya they found a taxi driver Khun Siritar aged 25 who was in great pain after a metal rod had pierced her ankle while she was walking on the construction site.

According to her friends at the taxi rank Khun Siritar was taking a break and strolling around the site when she screamed in pain and they went to help her. Emergency Medics administered first aid as best they could and transported her to hospital with the metal rod still embedded in her lower leg.

She was initially admitted to Pattaya Memorial Hospital but then transferred to Banglamung Hospital where an operation was carried out to remove the offending piece of re-bar.
