Russian Lady Found Dead in Central Pattaya Condo

Pattaya Police and a Unit of The Sawang Boriboon Rescue Foundation were called to a condo complex in Central Pattaya after reports had been received of the the finding of a deceased foreigner in one of the rooms.

At the scene a fourth floor room of building C at The Nirun Condo in Soi Arunthai they found the body of a Russian lady Miss Tatiana Schmykova aged 63. The body of Miss Schmykova was in an advanced stage of decay, medics estimated that she had been dead for 5 or 6 days.

Miss Schmykova had sustained a head wound. There were many bottles of beer and Lao Khaw - Thai rice whiskey around the room some of them broken. However there didn't appear to be any signs of a struggle or any indication that foul play was involved so the police are assuming at the moment that she may have fallen whilst in an intoxicated state and received a blow to the head.

Neighbours said that Miss Schmykova had rented the room for about a year and was known to enjoy a drink or two. The deceased was removed and transported to hospital for a full forensic autopsy to be carried out to  ascertain the real cause of death. Meanwhile as is the custom The Russian Embassy in Bangkok has been notified of the death of one of it's nationals.
