Around dawn Pattaya Police were called to a convenience store on Sukhumvit Road at the entrance to Soi Neun Plub Wan in East Pattaya. A naked girl had gone to the store in distress saying that she had been raped. The staff had called the police.
The young 21 year old lady from Buriram Province who describes herself as a Tomboy told the police that she had been raped on rough land close by on Soi Country Club.
She explained that she had been drinking at a karaoke bar in Jomtien and had accepted the offer of a lift home by a man called Na. They took a motorcycle taxi to an area behind a local temple where Na said he had parked his bike. The motorcycle taxi left and they continued to walk. As they passed some waste land Na dragged her into the bushes and despite her efforts to fight him off he raped her and then fled the scene.
The police took her to the scene of the assault, collected her clothes for evidence and took a brief statement then escorted her to hospital for a physical examination to take place.
