Chonburi Police and rescue workers rushed to the scene of what they thought was a motorcycle accident in Chonburi. On the road outside a gym in Central Chonburi they found a Yamaha motorcycle and it's rider. He had been shot more than once in the chest with a 9mm weapon.
The police questioned Khun Piya aged 20 a friend of the shooting victim. He said that they were riding their motorcycle towards Chonburi and somewhere near Tesco Lotus a gang of about 10 youths on 5 motorcycles mobbed them and tried to make them stop. They tried to carry on and then some member of the gang pulled a gun and opened fire on them. They got as far as the gym before his friend succumbed to his wounds, collapsed and crashed the bike.
The police are desperately looking for the gang and the gunman before they repeat their vicious attack and harm more people.
