Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Soi Theppraset Pattaya

In the early hours of the morning Pattaya Police at The Dongtan sub station on Jomtien Beach and a unit of the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Foundation received notification of a serious accident nearby with one fatality.

They rushed to the scene on Theppraset Road in front of Samui EC Tech Co., Ltd to find that a Honda PCX motorcycle had crashed into the back of a pick-up truck.

The motorcyclist later identified as a Mr. Amnoui Anuntakul aged 21 who was a Thai-American national had been thrown three meters by the impact and was laying in a pool of blood. He had sustained massive injuries in the crash and probably had died almost instantly.

The Mazda pick-up truck had sustained major damage to the tailgate and rear end and had been shoved several meters don the road by the force of the impact. The owner of the pick-up was at the scene after being alerted to the crash and stated that the vehicle had been parked outside her company for several months. Eyewitnesses to the accident said that they had seen the motorcycle approaching at high speed and drove straight into the back of the truck.

The body of the deceased was transported to Banglamung Hospital for a full autopsy to be carried out before he can be released to relatives for funeral rites to be carried out.
