Drunks Fall Off Motorcycle in Central Pattaya

During the Songkran period police clamped down with a major operation to persuade and deter folks from drinking and driving. Now the holiday is over it seams things are back to normal. At 5am Pattaya Police and a rescue unit from the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Foundation were called to attend an accident in Central Pattaya after reports of a motorcycle crash with two people injured.

At the scene a bend near the Bird Inn Hotel in Soi Bongkot they found a Honda Click motorcycle that had failed to negotiate the curve and crashed.

The two ladies who had been on the bike Khun Ooy aged 37 who had been driving and her pillion passenger Khun Paeng aged 42 were laying unceremoniously in the road with a wide variety of cuts wounds and abrasions. Khun Paeng also had lacerations on his hands and face embedded with the remnants of a beer bootle he had been drinking from at the time of the crash. The pair said that the ywere returning after a night out in Walking Street South Pattaya.

Rescue workers administered first aid at the scene before transporting the sozzled citizens to hospital for further treatment. Relatives arrived to pick up the peices of the motorcycle. Not sure who came to sweep up the broken glass scatterred across the road.
